Who Moved My Cheese by Spencer Johnson is an oldie, but goody. I love this classic book and find myself re-reading it about once a year. At first, it seems more like a children’s book, but you’ll quickly find yourself drawn into the story and come to understand the underlying lesson. While change is uncomfortable to everyone, we each deal with change in different ways.
As an internal auditor, we should understand that our role within the organization will almost always lead to change (that is if we are effective). Our clients are not only subject to the anxiety of a bad audit, they will also have to deal with change. We’re going to move their cheese. Understanding how they deal with change will help us help them through the process.
I nice read, a great lesson and a great tool to have on your bookshelf.
